How Spoiler Guard Works
Spoiler Guard protects your viewing experience by checking YouTube text in your browser before it reaches your screen.
1. Check in your browser
The extension reads visible comments, live chat, and chat replay text on YouTube pages and matches it against published shared blocklists and your personal rules. Matching items are blurred or hidden only in your browser.
2. Shared lists are published after review
Supported videos can use a shared blocklist. Lists submitted from the extension are reviewed before any public list is generated; submission is always an explicit user action.
3. Local settings stay with you
Your display settings, personal rules, and working candidates are stored in the extension's local storage. For details about transmitted data and review handling, see the Privacy Policy.
