How Spoiler Guard Works
Spoiler Guard protects your viewing experience by checking YouTube text in your browser before it reaches your screen.
1. Check in your browser
The extension reads visible comments, live chat, and chat replay text on YouTube pages and matches it against published shared blocklists and your personal rules. Matching items are blurred or hidden only in your browser.
2. Official lists are maintained by Spoiler Guard
Supported videos use official blocklists prepared and maintained by the Spoiler Guard operators. The extension downloads the published list for the current video.
3. Local settings stay with you
Your display settings, personal rules, and working candidates are stored in the extension's local storage. See the Privacy Policy for details about data handling.
